Since 1988, Radiant Technologies, Inc. has established the worldwide standards for electrical evaluation of ferroelectric materials of all types. Radiant continues to sell the most sophisticated test equipment for these materials and their applications. Ferroelectric are one of the foundations of modern society. This meeting has a rich history, evolving from the first International Symposium on Integrated Ferroelectrics (held in 1987). Its scope has broadened over time (and the name has been changed as a result), so that now ISIF seeks to offer a vibrant forum for researchers and engineers involved in all kinds of functional materials to discuss their latest results and ideas. Both fundamental science and applications of functional materials are explored in the symposium
ISIF is one of the most important functional materials conferences on the global circuit. Its size and scope are sufficiently large that delegates are guaranteed to be exposed to new ideas in materials research, development and integration; equally, it is sufficiently focused that the techniques, language and the overall sense of purpose across different themes will be familiar, so that meaningful exchanges of ideas and insights can readily occur. Its location in 2019 in Ireland should help create an atmosphere for relaxed communication in both the formal and informal parts of the meeting.
